Pixel Optics Pixel Optics is the world’s first composite and electronic lens company with innovative spectacle lens technologies to provide a better vision experience for eyeglass wearers. PixelOptics was founded in 2005 as the world’s first composite lens company. Unique and proprietary approach to lens design combines sound lens design principles and well-known, proven lens materials to create entirely new categories of eyeglass lenses. Objective is to bring “transformational innovation” to the spectacle lens category and deliver significantly enhanced vision performance to eyeglass wearers worldwide. Anne DeGheest helped start Pixel Optics, a spin-off from Johnson & Johnson in 2005. Anne led the first angel investment into Pixel Optics and joined the initial board of directors. She actively worked with the three founders in developing the business plan, raising several rounds of venture capital and bringing Panasonic as a major corporate investor and partner.
